{"id":284,"date":"2015-01-20T15:01:28","date_gmt":"2015-01-20T14:01:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hotellapaul.it\/?page_id=284"},"modified":"2026-01-03T11:41:46","modified_gmt":"2026-01-03T10:41:46","slug":"sirmione-old-town","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.hotellapaul.it\/en\/sirmione-old-town\/","title":{"rendered":"Sirmione Old Town"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sirmione Old Town is the most&nbsp; characteristic village of Lake Garda in Italy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">on the end of its peninsula is located in the middle of Lake Garda, surrounded by the walls of the Medieval Castle it offers to visitors a historical center completely pedestrian that important figures of the past have praised.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Sirmione Old Town: most famous places are Catullo Caves, Sirmione Castle, Terme di Sirmione, Aquaria,&nbsp;the Romanesque church of San Pietro in Mavino, the church of St. Anne, the church of Santa Maria Maggiore, the palace of Maria Callas and many romantic spots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What to visit in Sirmione old town:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sirmione Old Town<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The historical center is located on an island that is accessed by the drawbridge&nbsp; of the castle that surrounds it, past the old town, once a fishing village, you see Terme di Sirmione on the left then, going ahead there is the hill of Villa Cortine, later you find the Romanesque church of San Pietro in Mavino and ends at the tip with a spectacular panoramic view of Lake Garda at Grotte di Catullo. Hotel La Paul is about seven hundred meters, in perfect position to visit Sirmione center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\"
